اعضای کابینه دولت مارک کارنی دقایقی پیش در Rideau Hall سوگند یاد کردند؛ همراه با لیست کامل وزرا
صبح امروز (سه‌شنبه) در مراسمی رسمی در Rideau Hall به میزبانی خانم Mary Simon فرماندار کل کانادا، اعضای کابینه جدید مارک کارنی سوگند ادا کردند. این مراسم از حدود ساعت ۱۰:۴۵ صبح به وقت شرق کانادا آغاز شد.
کابینه جدید کارنی متشکل از ۲۸ وزیر تمام‌وقت و ۱۰ وزیر هم‌تراز Secretaries of State است؛ افرادی که مسئولیت‌های خاصی بر عهده دارند، اما لزوماً یک وزارت‌خانه رسمی در اختیار ندارند.
در این کابینه، ۲۴ نفر وزیر تازه‌منصوب هستند و ۱۳ نفر از آن‌ها برای نخستین‌بار وارد پارلمان شده‌اند؛ ترکیبی که هم نشانه‌ی بازسازی حزب لیبرال در دوران جدید است و هم نشان‌دهنده‌ی رویکرد «چابک و نتیجه‌محور» کارنی در اداره دولت.
در میان چهره‌های باسابقه، Chrystia Freeland همچنان یکی از اعضای کابینه باقی مانده و Melanie Joly نیز به‌عنوان یکی از چهره‌های کلیدی در روابط با آمریکا در دولت جدید حضور دارد. همچنین Sean Fraser پس از بازگشت به سیاست، اکنون وزیر دادگستری است.
علی احساسی نماینده ایرانی‌تبار پارلمان کانادا، که در کابینه پیشین مارک کارنی، وزیر تحول دولت، خدمات عمومی و تدارکات بود، در کابینه جدید نخست وزیر عضویت ندارد.
این کابینه نه‌تنها با هدف پاسخ به چالش‌های اقتصادی و تعرفه‌های آمریکا تشکیل شده، بلکه بازتابی از ترکیب منطقه‌ای متوازن و نگاه تازه نخست‌وزیر به ساختار حکمرانی است.
